This was a new customer who called Mission Painting looking to hire us for an exterior painting project and wood rot removal. We love these types of jobs and any chance we get to make a customer happy.
Overall, the project took one week to complete. We began by working on the exterior, which is what the customer mainly engaged us for. There was a bit of the usual wood rot on the inside trim, and we remedied that by rebuilding and replacing the wood and that changed the entire look of the front of the home.
We recommended additional work, like replacing a front porch rail system, columns, and 4×4 posts. After installing the 4×4 posts, the customer didn’t like the appearance because they were too skinny. They wanted a different look to better give off the aesthetic she was trying to create. We replaced the 4×4 posts with 6×6 feeder posts and only charged the cost of the material difference. They were extremely happy with us in that regard and also extremely happy with the new look.
